David J. Urrutia, Beloved Family Member and Retired Pipefitter, Passes Away at 65 in Glen Ellyn, IL
David J. Urrutia, a cherished member of the Glen Ellyn community, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 65. Known for his hardworking nature and kind spirit, David was deeply loved by his family and friends.
David was the son of the late Angelo Frank Urrutia and Joy Urrutia (Woods), and he is survived by his siblings, Sally Cerminar and Nancy Miele, along with his nieces and nephews. He spent 42 years working as a pipefitter/foreman with Chicago Pipefitters Local 597, a job that earned him respect among his peers. Despite his demanding work, David lived a simple and fulfilling life, enjoying moments of laughter and bringing joy to those around him with his quick wit and caring smile.
In tribute to his life, his family has requested donations to favorite charities in lieu of flowers. A memorial mass will be announced in the future. David’s absence leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his legacy of kindness and humor will continue to inspire those who knew him.
