Rhett Douglas Messerly, Beloved Ogden Resident Remembered for a Life of Kindness and Family Devotion

The Ogden community is mourning the loss of Rhett Douglas Messerly, who passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 27.

Born on February 2, 1998, Rhett was a cherished member of his family and a source of joy to many.

He is remembered for his warmth, compassion, and the strong bonds he maintained with loved ones.

Rhett’s memory will live on through his parents, Joel and Libby Messerly, his siblings Charlotte Orton, Rachel Beecher, Jake, and Maren Messerly, and his extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew who all deeply loved him.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Rhett’s life at the Ben Lomond Stake Center in North Ogden, Utah.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at noon.

An additional viewing will take place later that evening and on Friday, December 5, allowing all who knew Rhett to come together and honor his memory.

Condolences and messages of support have poured in online, reflecting the immense love and respect the community holds for Rhett and his family.

His legacy of kindness, faith, and connection continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
