Ronald G. Roberts, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, at Aledo Hospital in Milan, Illinois, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 59 years old.
Known for his unwavering love for his family, Ron was a dedicated father to his daughters, Amanda Peterson and Ashley Thurman, and a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Chloe, Björn, and Thora. His passion for family was matched only by his love for the outdoors and his years of involvement with Roberts Racing, where he worked tirelessly with the pit crew to earn numerous championships.
Ron’s resilience and determination were evident in his remarkable 20 years of sobriety, a testament to his inner strength and commitment to personal growth. He was also a devoted "girl dad" and a loyal companion to his dog, Lilly Ann “Munster,” who was always by his side.
The Quad Cities community has lost a true pillar, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him. His family and friends will forever remember his quiet strength, his work ethic, and his deep love for his loved ones.
Memorial services for Ron will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory in Milan. The family invites all to attend and celebrate Ron's life.
