Ablahad Moayed Shlemon, Beloved Father and Husband, Passes Away at 64 in El Cajon, CA
Ablahad Moayed Shlemon, a cherished member of the El Cajon community, passed away on December 1st, 2025, at the age of 64. He was surrounded by loved ones at Kaiser Foundation Hospital Zion when he peacefully passed.
Ablahad was born in Iraq on February 2nd, 1961, to Shlemon Yacoub and Shlemon Elia. He moved to the United States and settled in El Cajon, where he became a well-known and respected figure in the community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen, who, along with family and friends, will remember him for his warmth and kindness.
Funeral services for Ablahad will be held on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral in El Cajon. A graveside service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego.
In a heartfelt message shared by his family, they described him as someone who "touched the lives of all who knew him." A reception will follow the service at St. Peter's Hall, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life.
