Cindy Lynn Martin, Beloved Mother and Former Air Cadet, Passes Away Peacefully at Home in Plymouth, NS

Cindy Lynn Martin, aged 64, of Plymouth, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She had expressed her wish to be at home in her final moments, and her family was by her side, including her sisters Caroll and Chrystal, her brother Jim, and her cherished dog, Pepsi.

Cindy was born on February 5, 1961, in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, to the late James and Bonnie (MacKay) Baxter. She made a lasting impact on her community, being a former member of the Stellarton Legion and the first female Lieutenant of the 374 F/Lt Chisholm Royal Canadian Air Cadets.

Her compassionate nature led her to work at Glen Haven Manor, where she touched many lives. Cindy was predeceased by her husband Wayne Martin, who passed away in 2017, and she continued to face health challenges following his death, including a stroke in 2018.

Cindy is survived by her sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation; instead, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family expresses deep gratitude to the care workers who assisted Cindy over the years and the lifelong friends who provided unwavering support.
