Peter Lopez, Beloved Father and Fiancé, Passes Away After Battling Cancer in Sandwich, IL
Peter Lopez passed away recently after a courageous battle with stage 4 cancer. He had been diagnosed several months prior, and despite all efforts, his time with his loved ones was tragically cut short.
Peter leaves behind his children and his fiancée, Becky Heckman, who has faced immense loss in the past few years. In addition to Peter’s passing, Becky has already dealt with the deaths of her mother and brother, making this latest loss all the more devastating.
Becky, who has had to take time off work to care for Peter, is now finding it difficult to navigate her grief while also facing financial uncertainty. A fundraiser has been created by Molly VanDoozer to assist Becky and her family during this difficult time, and support from the community has already begun pouring in.
Friends and family remember Peter fondly for his roles as a partner and father. His life, though too short, was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those he held dear.
A memorial service for Peter will be announced by his family at a later time.
